My Dyson Supersonic was purchased back in 2018 with three attachments. Now, it comes with these five:
Review of My Dyson Supersonic hair dryer
The attachment has fallen off my hair during a blow-dry, but it isn't a big deal to put it back on.
My hair feels frizzy when I use blow dryers. No matter what I do to my hair, it always ends up looking frizzy and crunchy. The dryer completely transformed the way my hair feels when it is dried. I used to hate drying my hair. If I wanted my hair to look great, I would bake it for an extra hour. Now? I love to blow dry my hair, knowing it will look and feel great.
My only regret is not buying it sooner. While it is an investment, the Dyson has made my hair life so much easier. The Dyson takes 30 minutes instead of the hour drying with other dryers. The Dyson is worth every minute because of its time-saving features. Avoiding heat damage is a key part of my journey to healthy locks. I feel confident that the Dyson will protect my hair from damage and dry it in a flash. I no longer feel the need to sacrifice hair health just so that my hair doesn't get wet all day. That is a great thing for me.
dryers
It has a V9 motor, which is more powerful than my Dyson vacuum. The motor spins at 110,000 rpm and can propel 13 liters of air to the amplifier every second. Intelligent heat control is also included to monitor airflow temperature and prevent heat damage.
The Dyson hair dryer is a great choice. It takes half the time and leaves my hair feeling dry.
The design is very simple. The Dyson Supersonic is a sleek, modern hair dryer. You might expect something heavy, clunky and difficult to use for longer than a few minutes. This dryer is lighter than most other hair dryers and easier to use around your head. The motor at its center is smaller and more efficient than traditional hair dryers. This makes it easier to use and much quieter. This might change the way you view your hair. Dyson designed this dryer in tribute to their bestselling customers, hence the iconic hole at its center.
My medium-length, bob cut just touches my shoulders. It also has curtain bangs that need to be trimmed. I have curtain bangs that I have had for over two years and can't see myself changing. However, curtain bangs can be quite complicated to style so I must ensure that they are dry every day.
My hair is curly. It's a mixture 3b/3c curls. I spent most years of puberty straightening it. At age 18, I decided enough was enough. I set out to learn more about curl care. Now, my hair care routine is a science. I know the best products, how and when to style it, how you should sleep with it (I could even write a book on sleeping with curly hair), how to keep your hair healthy. The result? I have healthy, thick curls that last a long time. The insanely slow drying process is the one aspect of my hair I cannot live without. The Dyson hair dryer helps with this problem.
design
It is 35% more efficient than other hair dryers, if I could put a number to it. I save time every time I blow dry my hair, but the real value is the reduction in extreme heat damage over the course of time.
This is why I spent most of my puberty years tying it up. At the age of 18, I was ready to stop worrying about my hair and learn some tips. Now I know how to care for my hair. I know which products to use and how to style my hair. I also know how to sleep with it (I could probably write a whole book about sleeping with curly locks). And how to keep it healthy. The result? My hair is full of healthy, long curls. Only one thing about my hair I would not be able to live without is the long drying process. This is where the Dyson hair dryer steps in.
In 2018, my Dyson Supersonic came with three attachments. These attachments are now included with the Dyson Supersonic:
Those are quite a few numbers, but they are not real. Dyson vacuums cost a lot, but they have proven to be well worth it.
My fine, straight hair almost never looks alive because it is so thin. My hair feels flat against my head without much effort, which makes it appear even thinner than what it really is. My hair is still my natural color, and I haven't bleached it in over a whole year. So, my hair is essentially my natural color with some dimension from past highlights. I do have some problems, however, because my hair is oily even without color. I can only go one day without washing my hair and then my hair looks terrible the second day. I'm now washing my hair more than I've ever done before, and doing all that I can to keep my ends moisturized.

My 28-inch-long curly hair dried in just 5 minutes.
It comes with everything! This was my first impression of the Dyson. My previous hair dryer came only with the hair dryer. So if I wanted accessories (diffusers and concentrators, brushes, etc. I had the option to purchase them separately.
The volume it gave my hair was what made it worth the price. As I mentioned, my hair is straight and thin. So why do I need a hair dryer that costs so much? The Dyson Supersonic works wonders for my hair type. It creates big volume, and I mean BIG! The round brush included with the dryer is great for creating curtain bangs. I also use one of the concentratornozzles to style my bangs. My hair looks great when I don't use any attachments.
3 speed settings
Dyson will offer you a number of benefits, including a longer warranty and a more flexible return policy.
gentle air attachment
Five attachment tools are included with the Dyson hair dryer. Each attachment is specifically designed to style specific hair types.
The professional hairdryer costs $50 more, but has a more robust filter.
It is quick drying. No extreme heat. Engineered to suit different hair types.
While I haven't seen any knockoffs, you can try this trick: Let your hair air dry the majority of the way, then heat it up with a hairdryer for the final few minutes. This will give you a sleek, smooth look with no heat exposure.
Is a hair dryer costing $400+ worth it? I've been using the Dyson Supersonic hair dryer for a year now. I love it. But, I can't recommend it to everyone. Read my honest review. Continue reading...

You have the option of a beautiful presentation case, a stand, or you can be as creative as me and just keep it in your bathroom drawer.
Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer Review: It's well worth the $400 price tag
I've had this dryer for 4+ years and have never cleaned the filter. Oops. Dyson recommends cleaning it with a soft, dry cloth once a month.
It's 35% faster than other hair dryers if I had to give it a number. While I do save time each time I blow dry, the true value to me is the decreased heat damage.
Dyson Supersonic claims to be the best hair dryer on the market, and it is. Dyson describes the Supersonic's purpose as "engineered for hair protection from extreme heat damage." It is fast drying and controlled styling that can help increase smoothness and shine by up 75% and up to 132%, and reduce frizz and flyaways up to 61%. *"

I used the Dyson Supersonic to wash Amanda's curly 3B hair and my 2C hair. We used only the diffuser to style her hair. But I used all of my attachment settings for myself except the wide tooth comb because it isn't made for my hair. Sorry, I forgot to take photos after using both the concentrated styler attachments and the diffuser. I was able to achieve a great hairstyle with both the diffuser and concentrated styler attachments.
Dyson says, "The Dyson Supersonic was engineered to protect hair against extreme heat damage. It has fast drying and controlled styling to increase smoothness by 75%, shine by up 132%, and reduce frizz and flyaways up to 61%." All of that is possible because I'm here.
The Dyson Supersonic hairdryer comes with magnetic attachments so that you can quickly and easily adjust.
You can make a presentation case with a stand or choose to keep yours in a small drawer in your bathroom.
It is extremely sleek. You would expect something with this much tech to be heavy and clunky. But not the Dyson Supersonic. This hair dryer is much more lightweight than other models and is easier to move around your head. The motor in the middle of the device, which is smaller than other hair dryers, is brushless and quieter. You might need to reconsider your routine if you are used to thinking of your daily hair-dye as an arm workout. Dyson created the dryer to pay tribute to their best-selling fans. This is why the iconic hole in the middle makes it so famous.

Is the Dyson air dryer worth it?
The bottom line: The Dyson Supersonic blew away the competition when it came to drying speed, strongest airflow, and consumer satisfaction in our
extensive testing. If you're in the market for a new hair dryer — and have some savings built up — it's proven to be the best hair dryer you can buy.
How long does it take to dry hair with Dyson Supersonic?
For this experiment I washed my hair, toweled it up for exactly six minutes while I lotioned up and got dressed and then blew my hair out.
With the Dyson hair dryer, drying my hair took seven minutes.
What is so special about the Dyson Supersonic?
Unlike some others, the Dyson Supersonic™ hair dryer measures air temperature over 40 times a second, and regulates the heat.
This prevents extreme heat damage, to help protect your hair's shine.
Does the Dyson Supersonic damage hair?
